Apicoectomy (root-end resection)

It can happen that inflammation or a cyst develops at the root tip of a tooth. Before the procedure, root canal treatment has usually already been carried out, but in certain cases this proves insufficient. If the inflammation cannot be controlled, or precise root canal treatment is not possible due to the curvature of the tooth root, then an oral surgery procedure offers the opportunity to remove the problematic root tip, that is, to perform an apicoectomy (root-end resection). Thanks to modern anaesthesia and expertise, the treatment is carried out without significant discomfort.

Dental implantation and bone grafting

For tooth replacement, the most advanced solution is the implant, that is, dental implantation. In many cases there is not enough bone tissue available for the implant to anchor optimally, and in such cases bone grafting is also possible.
