Professional teeth whitening in the heart of Budapest

A dazzling white smile is synonymous with good grooming and refined taste. Beyond genetic factors, the colour of your teeth is also influenced by the foods and drinks you consume: tea, coffee, red wine and the artificial colourings found in ready meals all have an effect. With the professional teeth whitening carried out at our clinic, teeth can be lightened by several shades.

We use the Beyond whitening system with genuine Beyond gel, not aftermarket products. As a result, tooth sensitivity after the treatment is minimal and the outcome is predictable. In our experience, patients report sensitivity lasting several days when other gels are used.

In-clinic vs laser teeth whitening: which should you choose?

At our clinic, both in-clinic (Beyond, cold-light lamp) and laser teeth whitening are available. The table below summarises our packages and their prices. The full price list is available in the dental price list is available.

Package Technology Ár
In-clinic teeth whitening + tartar removal In-clinic, with salt polishing 79 500 Ft
In-office whitening With whitening agent 110 000 Ft
Laser teeth whitening Biolase + tartar removal + salt polishing 130,000 HUF
Reducing tooth sensitivity Bifluorid application 10 000 Ft

The treatment process

We take our time over teeth whitening: if needed, we whiten the teeth for up to 2 hours. The steps of the process are as follows:

  1. Oral hygiene preparation: we clear the surface of the teeth of tartar, so that the whitening agent can take effect across the entire surface.
  2. Protecting the gums and lips, so that the whitening gel is applied only to the teeth.
  3. Polishing and drying the teeth.
  4. Applying the gel containing hydrogen peroxide, then illuminating it with the cold-light whitening lamp.
  5. Repeating the 10-15 minute illumination cycles one after another until the desired whiteness is achieved.

The dentist and dental hygienist carrying out the treatment provide the patient with all the necessary information. If you would like to plan the overall look of your smile, discover our Smile Design service too.

Frequently asked questions about teeth whitening

How long do the results of teeth whitening last?

Unlike home-based methods, the teeth whitening carried out at our private clinic resolves problems with the colour of your teeth for at least one and a half to two years. Drinking plenty of mineral water helps to maintain the effect.

Does teeth whitening hurt? What sort of sensitivity can I expect?

The teeth whitening used at Smile Expert is pain-free and does not damage the teeth. Temporary tooth sensitivity may occur after the treatment, but this soon passes. Thanks to the genuine Beyond gel, sensitivity is minimal, and if desired it can be reduced further with a Bifluorid application (10 000 Ft).

Who is teeth whitening not recommended for?

Teeth whitening acts on the natural tooth enamel; it does not change the colour of existing fillings or crowns. In certain circumstances, such as during pregnancy or breastfeeding, it is worth discussing with the dentist whether the treatment is advisable. This is precisely why we offer a free consultation, where our dentist assesses whether teeth whitening is the right solution for you.

Is at-home teeth whitening enough, or is in-clinic whitening better?

Long-lasting teeth that are several shades whiter can only be achieved through a procedure carried out at the dental clinic. At-home solutions do not deliver this, and materials of dubious origin can carry risks. Treatment performed by a specialist is more comfortable, longer-lasting and safer.
